My wife and I had been looking at lake properties for over a year. We were primarily searching in the Lake Oconee area since it is closest to our home, but we had trouble adjusting to the price/value equation of the properties for sale on Lake Oconee. We then decided to begin looking at Lake Hartwell and Lake Keowee.

We were immediately impressed with the beautiful water and scenery of Lake Keowee, and the small town feel of Seneca. We also liked the fact that the lake is controlled by Duke Power, which gives us some assurance the lake will be maintained as close to full pool as possible to power the Duke generators. We utilized our computer extensively in our search for developments and properties on Lake Keowee.

We visited the lake several times, checking out numerous developments and properties prior to finding “Moonlight Bay” on the internet. We called and left a voicemail. The call was promptly returned by Erik Moore, and we set up an appointment to see “Moonlight Bay”. Upon our arrival, my wife and I liked Erik’s friendly nature and enthusiasm for the development.

Although the development is new, with few homes at present, we felt a sense of community. We envision friendly neighbors who know and like each other, who have cookouts and get-togethers, and who watch out for each other and the neighborhood. We see retirees with families and grandchildren visiting, in addition to those who have weekend and vacation homes.

We have enjoyed working with Erik Moore and Ray Harrison in an atmosphere of trust, honesty, and friendship. We are excited about building our home and becoming a part of the “Moonlight Bay” community. We feel it will be a great place to live and play.

When we saw Moonlight Bay on Lake Keowee, SC, we fell in love with the subdivision. With large lots and great views, it was just the kind of lake property we had been looking for.
